What is the best fabric for a duvet cover that cat hair won’t stick to?

I can’t stand how much fur gets stuck to my duvet covers. I am constantly washing and drying them to get the fur off. I notice that the fur balls up on the duvet cover after it is washed and dried, however, my sheets will come out completely fur free after they are washed and dried. What type of fabric should my duvet cover be made of to stop the fur from sticking, or at least have it come out clean from the wash?

I use cotton duvet covers which have little static and are the best for cat fur but…when the cat has been lying on them there will be fur left. it is a problem that I have too. Don’t use polyester or artificial fibres. What I do is to use a velcro type brush to run over the cover before I take it off, then I shake it well. After a wash go over it with the brush again.

    High thread count helps.

Take a damp sponge and wring it out, then run it over the duvet in the same direction, it’ll roll the fur up into little wads and you can lift them off.
