Can you insert a regular comforter into a duvet cover?

Would putting a comforter in a duvet cover just be stupid, or could this work? Will the size be ok?
So, the comforter I have is a solid pink that corresponds with the pinks in the pattern on the duvet cover.
It could work, right? And as long as the comforter and cover are both twin, it should fit?

As long as the pattern doesn’t show through.

No its your place do what you like.

You can tuck in the sides. Throw on some pillows and it will look great!

If it’s the right size, it should be ok.

You can always trim the comforter and stitch it up to fit if it doesnt. Its not stupid, there are some lovely duvette covers, and like mentioned before watch for patterns to show through.
